For the second year in a row, Victoria will observe the United Nations Day of Vesak, marking the start of a month when Buddhist communities globally come together to celebrate the birth, passing and enlightenment of the Buddha more than 2500 years ago in India.
This year's event is designed to have a vibrant performance feel, bringing Buddhists from different traditions together to celebrate their diverse cultures.
A Youth and Multifaith component has been integrated into the program of theatre performance, dance and a formal commemoration ceremony.
This year, we are honored to have the support of the City of Melbourne and the Victorian Multicultural Commission.
This a free event and provides access for disabled persons.
For those interested in being involved as a volunteer, please refer to the "About Us" tab on this website.
